To get a better understanding of the Mayan Culture and a better experience of the flora and fauna of the Calakmul biosphere area, we strongly recommend the help of a guide. You can book your tours when you arrive at the hotel. The rides are available in Spanish and English. However, if you require a tour in English, it is better to book it before your arrival, since the number of English speaking guides is limited. Confirm reception upon arrival.

Calakmul

Calakmul, one of the most important Mayan sites, set deep in the lowland tropical forest of southern Mexico, played a key role in the history of this region for more than 12 centuries. Its imposing structures and its characteristic integral design are extraordinarily well preserved and give a vivid idea of life in an ancient Mayan capital.

Balamkú

Balamku is only 5 minutes from the hotel. The most important and different thing about Balamkú is its large fry. It is in very good condition, it still has paint and, as a guest said, its nose. Its name means "Jaguar Temple" in Maya.

Becán - Chicanná - Xpuhjil

Its name in the Mayan language means “Barranca or Canyon formed by Water”. This ancient city is characterized by being surrounded by a moat, unique in the Mayan area, which for some researchers testifies to a continuous warlike activity between it and other cities in the region
