Hotel Puerta Calakmul is the closest hotel to the Calakmul biosphere and archeological zone. It is also close to the sites of Balamku, Becan, Chicana, Xpujil, Hormiguero, Nadzaal..., nature paths, bat cave, bird watching...

We are located in the southern part of Campeche state, at the entrance to the Calakmul Biosphere, at KM 98 on the Escarcega Chetumal highway (98 kilometers east of Escarcega). After you turn south to go to the Calakmul ruins and the biosphere, immediately to the left is the road that leads to the Hotel Puerta Calakmul. Follow the road for about 700 meters - a little over a mile until you get to the hotel.

The road to Calakmul is paved and in very good condition. You need to calculate about 1 hour to get to the site.
