Hotel Puerta Calakmul es un refugio ecológico localizado en Calakmul, Campeche, México. Es un lugar muy especial donde descansar, relajarse y desconectarse totalmente de la rutina es natural. Es el hotel más cercano a la zona arqueológica más grande y la biosfera de Calakmul. Está perfectamente ubicada en el centro de los sitios arqueológicos más importantes de la región - Xpujil, Becán, Chicanná, Balamkú, Hormigueros, Rio Bec, etc.

Calakmul
Calakmul, one of the most important Maya site set deep in the tropical forest of the Tierras Bajas of southern Mexico, played a key role in the history of this region for more than twelve centuries.
Becán
The construction of the city began in the Classic Period between 600 and 1000 the wealth and services of many settlements were concentrated there, when it held the role of regional capital.
Balamkú
Its name in Mayan signifies Temple of the Jaguar. It is located inside the jungle, and is approximately one kilometer (.6 miles) long. It is integrated within 3 architectural groups
Chicanná
Located at the south east part of the state known as “The house of the serpents mouth” due to its elegance and decorative richness it is thought that Chicanná was a place for the “privileged”.
Xpujil
Its name comes from a herbaceous plant which can be found abundantly and is called “Cat's Tail”.
TThe first human settlements date from 400 BC from the Preclassic late period.
